Life as a Divine Movie: Discovering Your Role in God’s Story

If life is a divine movie directed by God Himself, congratulations — you’ve already been cast. The question is: what role are you playing in God’s story? Are you the protagonist in life, an antagonist, a sidekick… or just the guy in the peanut gallery handing out water bottles, unnoticed?

Take the blind man Jesus healed. On paper, his role looked tragic — decades of darkness, stumbling into goats, pitied by villagers. And yet, when Jesus restored his sight, his story became proof of God’s plan for your life. That’s better than any Oscar or TikTok spotlight.

But pause a second. Would you accept that role? Years of mockery and dependence, only to receive the “ordinary” gift of eyesight? Most of us would beg the Director for a rewrite: “Excuse me, can I play the rich ruler instead?” Yet what looks small to us is often a starring role in heaven’s script.

Don’t Sell Yourself Short

Here’s another truth: God wants everyone as a protagonist. Imagine a world where each of us lived fully, courageously, and aligned with God’s purpose. No antagonists lurking. No seat fillers in church pretending to matter. Just real, authentic characters.

That’s what I explored in my book The End — a story with no antagonists, only protagonists. People found it strange. Too much peace. Too little drama. But in real life, faith and purpose don’t require constant chaos. They require alignment.

Which is why in Divine Matrix, I explored a different angle: antagonists exist for a season, keeping the plot alive. But eventually, they either get converted or written out. And the protagonists — those living their roles in God’s plan — shine brighter than ever.

Seat Fillers and the Real Audition

Many of us show up in mosques, churches, and temples, thinking attendance equals purpose. But showing up doesn’t mean you’ve stepped into your role. Think of it like auditioning for a blockbuster in pajamas, still scrolling your phone. The Director sees right through it.

The truth? God values alignment more than appearances. He sees your choices behind closed doors — every shortcut, compromise, and secret binge. That’s the real audition.

So, What Role Are You Playing?

  • Team God? Living fully aligned with His script.
  • Team Devil? Playing antagonist, even subtly.
  • Or stuck in the peanut gallery life — clapping, but never acting.

Every role matters. Even suffering can be central in God’s plan for your life. The blind man’s story proves it. The difference is whether you recognize your role as part of the bigger movie.

Imagine if everyone chose to be a protagonist — living boldly, faithfully, and intentionally. The credits would roll, antagonists defeated, eternity cheering with popcorn in hand.

So next time you step on life’s stage, ask yourself: Am I living as a protagonist in God’s story… or just waiting for someone else to play the lead?

Spoiler alert: the Director already cast you. Your move.

Lights, camera… prayer.
